Launch Project

Soon after its establishment in 2011, the National Institute for Civil Discourse needed to establish its web presence. After building their site, our partners at NuCivic recommended them to DrupalSquad for launch support. Confident they were in good hands, the NICD signed to a standard plan that continues to this day. Allowing the NICD to work to depolarize discussion and inspire elected officials to collaborate, all with the confidence their site is updated and secure.

MIT

In 2013, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) standardized on Drupal. As issues with the new platform popped up, the resources of the Office of Information Technology became split between support tickets and their project to develop a private cloud service. MIT quickly realized they didn’t have the appropriate capacity to meet their strict timelines. With deadlines looming, they contracted DrupalSquad to relieve the support and maintenance burden, and allow the OIT to focus on the cloud service development.

OGP

Since their formal launch in 2011, the Open Government Partnership has seen an explosion of support. The original multilateral initiative of eight countries has been bolstered by an additional 67 countries. And is responsible for more than 2,500 commitments towards government transparency and accountability. Our partners at NuCivic built their website and recommended the OGP to DrupalSquad for launch support. We signed them to a standard plan including our extremely popular a la carte ticket service for support and development. We are proud to continue supporting the OGP as they empower citizens on a greater and greater scale.

PDM

A few months before their famous, annual New York conference, Personal Democracy Media broadcasted an email campaign promoting early-bird registration. But their website failed to process registrations. With their hosting provider unable to help, each passing moment meant lost business or dissatisfied clients. PDM needed a reliable Drupal developer on the fly. DrupalSquad had helped PDM previously, and were first on their list. We quickly diagnosed a conflict between their version of php and a server upgrade. We instituted a short-term workaround and recommended PDM migrate to one of our preferred Drupal optimized host. Crisis averted for the second time, PDM signed on to a long term maintenance plan so we could keep them out of the ditch and ahead of the curve.

Firmstep

In 2014, the U.K. based consulting firm, Firmstep, realized they had a problem we all wish we had. Their growth outpaced their capacity. As long time users of our a la carte maintenance and development ticket system, they turned to DrupalSquad for help. Happy to take the relationship to the next level, DrupalSquad managed the migration of over 30 of Firmstep’s client sites to one of our optimized drupal hosts, Pantheon. Then instituted a full time engineering team to give Firmstep the flexibility to match their growth. And the confidence to keep that growth growing.
